Cappadocia is a mountainous area in Turkey that is famous for its amazing rock structures and hot air balloon rides.  Tourists flock to see the gorgeous brightly colored balloons contrasting with the smooth grey of the rocky backdrop.  The broken seed stitch patterning of these socks looks amazing in two colors or more! Choose two of your favorite Yarn Over New York 50gr skeins or stash dive to use up your scraps.

Sizing and Gauge:
To fit a foot with the following measurements with approximately 1”/ 2.5 cm of negative ease:
Measure foot at the widest point
Small- 7.5”/19cm circumference
Med- 8.5”/ 22cm circumference
Large- 9.5”/ 24cm circumference
Extra-Large- 10.5”/ 27cm circumference

Circumference of actual sock: 6.2 (7, 8, 8.8)”/ 16 (18, 20, 22)cm
18 sts/ 26 rounds per 2”/ 5cm (stockinette unstretched)

Suggested Materials:
2 colors of sock/ fingering weight yarn
Yarn Over New York Times Square sock, Harlem sock or Broadway sparkle sock yarn or fingering weight yarn of your choice  (50gr half-skeins, approximately 200yd each)

2 pairs of 2.25mm (US 1) at least 60cm/ 24”
or long circular needle for magic loop or set of 4 dpns if preferred
2 stitch markers (per sock)
Large eye needle (for weaving in ends)

Note: Pattern is written for 2 circular needles, please feel free to substitute your favorite method.
